“The Church must also take positive action in the fight against injustice. Its specific contribution lies in fighting injustice insofar as injustice is sin. The activity of the Church is directed against the sinfulness of injustice. It opposes injustice insofar as injustice is a negation of man [sic] and insofar it causes man [sic] to negate God. The evil rather than a mere accident of history as history moves towards its completion and perfection. The Church must denounce injustice publicly, incessantly, and forthrightly because the power of injustice operates publicly, incessantly, and forthrightly. If it does not do this, the Church will be failing to carry out an essential prophetic dimension of its mission.”
